Videogame advertisement - key concepts.
The game i have chosen is Mario Kart; the picture shown is he advertisement.


 

LIAR

LANGUAGE- The way the picture is presented is funky so that it could persuade people buy it.  The word ‘’ BONUS’’ is bold because it  could make the buyer realise it is worth of buying.

INSTITUTION- the game was produced in Japan released for Super Nintendo Entertainment system in 1992. The first game was released in 1992. It is offered in Nintendo’s, PSP’s etc. It can be played on consoles, phones internet etc.

AUDIENCE- the audience for this game is probably for people who are 8+ - 25. This game can be played from both genders where in my point males would be more interested in playing.


REPRESENTATION- this picture show a lot of different kind of colours to make it look funky and make the reader more interested, it uses a lot of pictures and some of the words shown in the picture are bold so the reader can spot the important key first.

Summer research project.
Videogame Research
Video game is Halo 4 the game was released worldwide on 6th November 2012. The development of Halo 4 became in 2009.


-          The key information about the game :
The genre is fighting , The platform is from a Xbox 360. The price of the game Halo 4 is £26.22. It was released on 6th November 2012. The reviews from the audience are that they enjoy the game an example of this is ‘’Amazing game. In my opinion the best campaign since the original. Not much else to say other than if you're a FPS fan and own a 360 get this game. It has a great compelling story, awesome skill based gameplay and what I can only describe as the best graphics of any console game I've seen yet’’.  

The number of copies which was produce was 50 million according to the internet.

-          The institutions behind the game- the companies that developed the game Halo 4 by Bunjee, Halo 4 was developed by 343 industry a secondary of Microsoft Studio.

-          How it was marketed/ promote- Microsoft was marketed again for PepsiCo.  In the United States players were able to earn double experiences by purchasing products such as Doritos and Mountain Dew and then redeem codes found in the packaging using iOS and Android games called Halo 4.  Promotion – halo was trailed by the name of ‘Awakening’.  It was directed by Joseph Kosinksi and the visual effects were created by animation company ‘Digital Domain.’  Both Kosinksi and Digital Domain had collaborated previously on the Halo 3 
-          The  target audience –  an educated guess for the target audience for this game ‘Halo 4’ is Recommended for people who are  16 and plus.


-          How successful was it –the marketing and promotion worked because it included high companies such as Microsoft, PepsiCo etc for an convoy. It was successful because  lots of people enjoyed  the game and want more series to come in the future.
